Mabel was born April 30, 1929, in Belding, the daughter of Irvin and Luella Griffiths Roberts. She graduated from Belding High School and served as a Cub Scout grandmother for a number of years. Mabel lived her entire life in the Belding/Long Lake area. She was married on Sept. 29, 1951, to Warner Ferman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Ferman, in May 1994; her parents; and two brothers, Irvin Roberts and Gerald Roberts. Mabel is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Betty Ferman of Belding; grandson, Robert Ferman; and two sisters, Betty and Elmer Packard of Hesperia, Ginger Toleson of Shiloh. Funeral and committal services are 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger, of Shiloh Community Church, officiating. Interment is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the activities fund of Metron of Belding.
