The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, May 3, 1965
Harold C. Fernholz, 57, died at St. Lawrence hospital in Lansing Sunday.  He 
had resided at 675 Detroit Street, Portland.  Surviving are four daughters, 
Joann, Sandra and Janice of Lyons and Mrs. Delores Fletcher of Muir; one son, 
Paul of Muir; three grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur and Fred Fernholz of 
Portland; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Gensterblum of Portland, and Mrs. Viola 
Schafer of St. Johns.

Rosary will be at Neller funeral home in Portland, Monday at 8 p.m.  Funeral 
service will be at 9:30 Tuesday morning at St. Patrick’s Catholic church with 
the Rev. Fr. Stephen J. Kolenic officiating and interment at Portland 
cemetery.  Bearers will be Larry and Jerry Fernholz, Ronald and Roman Schafer 
and James and Paul Gensterblum.
