Ionia County News, 12 Jun 1947

Minnie Lamphere was born January 17, 1869, at Saranac, and died at 9:30
Wednesday morning at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Reber Grover, with whom
she had made her home for the past 10 years.  In 1887 she was united in marriage
to John Ferrey.  One son, Cleon, was born to this union. Both her husband and
son preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ferrey leaves a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Mapes, of Grand Rapids, and three
granddaughters, Mrs. Doris Fitzgerald and Mrs. Margaret Tryon of Lansing and
Mrs. Frances Grover of Ionia.  Also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at one o’clock Friday afternoon, June 13, from
Myers Funeral Home.  Dr. Paul Stewart will officiate and burial will be in the
family lot at Saranac.
