She was born on July 5, 1952, in Greenville, the daughter of Arze L. and Dorothy B. (Goodwin) Collins. She attended Piper School House and graduated from Ionia High School in its 100th anniversary years. She worked for several business during her lifetime including Electrolux and Wal-Mart for many years. A job she took great pride in, was working tor a Kevlar vest manufacturer for police to use in the line of duty. Her work took her to the Traverse City area, then Green Bay and Appleton Wis., and recently her health decline brought her back to Michigan to be near family. She married William Alan Ferrier on March 11, 2005, in Ithaca, and he survives. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, arts and crafts of all kinds and loved her dear family and friends. In addition to her husband, Bill, the memory of Donna will be cherished by her children, John Wireman Jr. of Jackson, Christie Tarket of Kaukauna, Wis., Leslie (Brittany) Wireman of Lyons, Davis “Jordan” Collins of Belding, Dora Ferrier of Grand Rapids, William (Jen) Ferrier Jr. of Greenville, Robert (Branda) Ferrier of Muskegon, and Rainbow Yadak of St. Louis, Mo.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn Wilson, Richard Collins, Marge (Lawrence) Bogart, Leonard (Marilyn) Collins, Verl (Sally) Collins, June (John) Leland, Helen Greenhoe, Edith Saxton, Rose Collins and Nila (Terri) Meirier; many nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Albert and Doris Ferrier. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Russell Collins. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Greenville Community Church. Funeral services will be noon Monday at Greenville Community Church, 6596 Vining Road, Greenville, with Pastor Chuck Davenport officiating. Private interment rites will take place at Rest Haven Memory Gardens near Belding.
