Brandon John Ferris, 17, of Ionia, passed away due to accidental injuries on 
Sept. 26, 2000.

He was born June 11, 1983, in Ionia, the son of Mark and Nicki (Barclay) 
Ferris.  Brandon was currently a senior at Ionia High School.  He was a member 
of the Ionia County 4-H club, Prairie Creek Hustlers and Hoe Down Hogs.  Past 
member of Ionia County 4-H Service Club.  Vice president of Ionia FFA Chapter.  
He also enjoyed archery, fishing, farming, woodworking and attended a Diesel 
Class.

Brandon is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Nicki Ferris of Ionia; one 
brother, Kirk Ferris of Ionia; grandparents, Ernest and Sally Ferris of Ionia 
and Vernon and Irene Barclay of Ionia; great-grandmothers, Bessie Scott of 
Ionia, June Townsend of Fenwick and Ruth Barclay of Ionia; girlfriend Kim 
Altoft of Lake Odessa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Brandon will be at noon, Saturday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment Woodard Lake 
Cemetery.   Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 .m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday 
at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.

Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia county 4-H in memory of 
Brandon.  Envelopes available at the funeral home.
