The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, April 15, 1966

Mrs. Lena Ferris, 86, a long time resident of Ionia who had made her home at 
250½ Adams street for many years, died Thursday evening at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital where she had been a patient 12 days. 

She was born July 12, 1879, in St. Johns the daughter of Andrew and Harriett 
Fuday.  She was married to Wallace Patrick who died in 1922.  In 1924 she was 
married to William E. Ferris who preceded her in death in 1929.  Mrs. Ferris 
was a member of Temple Baptist church.

Surviving are one son, Patrick of Ionia and one grandchild.

Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home with 
the Rev. Gary Burgess officiating.  Burial will be at Highland Park cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Tuesday, April 19, 1966

Service for Mrs. Lena Ferris of 250 ½ Adams street, who died Thursday evening 
at Ionia County Memorial hospital, was Monday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Gary 
Burgess officiating.  Bearers were Richard Christenson, Ronald Johnston, 
Donald Shattuck, Lloyd Zeigler, Donald Eckley and Donald Braman.  Burial was 
at Highland Park cemetery.

Attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Patrick of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. 
J. C. Fuday and family of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Greenhoe of 
Sheridan, Zerah Greenhoe and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Greenhoe of Bath; Rev. and 
Mrs. James Barkigh of Lansing.
