SYLVIA FERRIS, 73
Sylvia J. Ferris age 73 of Lyons, MI. passed away on November 5, 2018,. She was born
on July 12, 1945 in St. Johns, MI., the daughter of Donald and Bernice (Monroe)
Kirkham. 

Sylvan married Kenneth Ferris on July 15, 1961. She took part in building the
Lyons-Muir Church where she is member and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed flowers and loved
her grandchildren.

Surviving Sylvia are her loving husband of 57 years Kenneth E. Ferris of Lyons; son
Darrell (Cynthia) Ferris of Texas; daughter Kathleen (Thomas) Ward of Muir; grandchildren
Tom (Maurhya) Ward, Jennifer (Abraham) VanEtten, Jacklyn (Andrew) Cascini, Leslie
Ferris, Lindsay Ferris and Leah Ferris; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Cynthia (Jerry) White
of Muir and Julie (Rich) Longway of Lowell; brother-in-laws Ernie (Sally )Ferris of Ionia,
Elmer Ferris of Florida, Ed (Mary) Ferris of Ludington, Gaylord (Paula) Ferris of Muir, Bernie
(Carol) Ferris of Lansing and Mike (Jackie) Ferris of Lyons; sister-in-law Shirley Young of
Ludington and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 
grandparents Henry and Flora Kirkham.

Funeral services will be held at the Lyons-Muir Church on November 9th at 12:00 p.m.
with Pastor Jonathan Bratt-Carle. Interments Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be
Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia and Friday one hour prior to the
