         FERRIS

Sally A. Ferris, age 87, of Ionia passed away February 24, 2025. She was born on 
May 10, 1937, in Ionia the daughter of John and Bessie (Selleck) Scott. Sally 
went to Lyons Public School graduating with the class of 1955. She married 
Ernest Ferris on September 10, 1955, in Lyons together they raised 3 boys.

Sally worked at Ionia Public Schools Day Care for several years.She also worked 
as a Baker for Nelson's Orchard and the Muir Village market.

Sally was a strong supporter of her favorite charities St.Jude's Children's 
Hospital or the The Wounded Warrior Project.

She is survived by her loving husband, 69 years Ernest Ferris of Ionia. Sons, 
Rick(Deb) Ferris of Huntersville, North Carolina, Mark(Nick) Ferris of Ionia and 
Nick(Monika) Ferris of Ionia. Grandchildren, Stacey Schafer, Scott (Lindsay) 
Ferris,Blake Ferris,Abby(Matt)Purdue,Kirk(Jodi) Ferris, Zach Ferris,Ava Ferris, 
Audrina Ferris, Arieana Ferris and Lexi Ferris. Great-grandchildren, Connor, 
Logan,Natalie and Elli.Brother Bill Scott of Ionia. Marcia Sellers and brother, 

Sally was preceded in death by her Parents,Grandsons's, Brandon Ferris and Ryan 
Ferris, Sisters, Jackie Scott and Marcia Sellers and brother,Kim Scott.

Funeral service for Sally will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Saturday, 
March 1st, at noon with Pastor Mark Hall Officiating. Interment at Woodard Lake 
Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 1o am until 
the time of servcies. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to St.Jude's 
Children's Hospital or Wounded Warriors Project. Online condolences may be made
