James Scott Ferris, 47 of Shelbyville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 21,
2015, in Springfield, Illinois.  James was born Jan. 23, 1969, in Ionia,
Michigan, the son of John and Madeline Horton Ferris.  He graduated from Ionia
High School in Ionia, Michigan.  He was a landscaper.

He married Lois Faye Mars on May 3, 2010, and she survives.  Also surviving are
children, Dylan James Zimmerman of Shelbyville, Amanda Rhoades of Michigan and
Brittany (Scott) Wright in Texas; brothers and sisters, Audrey (Ernie) Miller of
Greenville, MI, Sharon (Chuck) Monk of Ionia, MI, Terry (Laura) Ferris of Grand
Rapids, MI, Alonzo Ferris of Ionia, MI, John “Pete” (Lisa) Ferris of Ionia, MI,
Tony (Eva) Ferris of Ionia, MI and Phil (Nancy) Leiter of Michigan; many nieces
and nephews; and dogs, Angel, Bo, Damien and Princess.  He was preceded in death
by his parents; and a brother, Sam.
