June Victoria Ferris, 82, of Ionia, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, March 15,
2015.  She was born on Aug. 31, 1932, in Pewamo, Michigan the daughter of Hugh
and Jennie (Resler) Barnes.

Mrs. Ferris worked for 15 years as a registered nurse’s aide at Heartland
Healthcare in Ionia.  June was a great mother, grandmother and great
grandmother, who deeply cared for her family.  She enjoyed baking cookies,
crocheting, and loved watching wrestling and Days of Our Lives.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Freeman Ferris Sr.; step
daughter, Lila Jean Paget; brothers, Frank, John, Richard and George Barnes. 
Surviving are her sons, Freeman (Kathy) Ferris Jr., and Sean (Cathy) Ferris;
grandchildren, Jessica Sue Ferris, Krista Marie Ferris, Megan Palma, Harley
(Paige) Ferris, and Aurora Ferris; great grandchildren, Tommy Paget and Enrique
Palma; step grandchildren, Robert and Jasmine Farr; step great grandchildren,
Owen, Dayton, Damion and Jade; and sister, Caroline (Doug) Laney.

The Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Lehman
Funeral Homes, 220 Rich St., Ionia.  Interment will take place at a later date
in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia.  The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.
until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
