Dorothy M. Ferris, 74, of Lake City, died Wednesday evening at Mercy Hospital 
in Cadillac.  She was born in Woodland on April 3, 1906.  She lived in the 
Portland area before moving to Lake City in 1950.  She taught school for 34 
years.

Surviving are: four brothers, Leo and Roy Ferris of Lyons, Alfred Ferris of 
Portland; and Theodore Ferris of Ionia; and three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Van 
Derske of Lake City; Mrs. Robert (Gertrude) Vaughn of Lansing; and Mrs. Howard 
(Geneva) Hall of Lansing.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Young Funeral Home, Lake 
City.  Burial will be in Lake City cemetery.
