Feuerstein, 85 of Belding, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 1996, at Belding Christian Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 28, 1910 in Sebewa Township, Ionia County, to John and Anna Slowinski Lehman. She attended rural school and graduated in 1929 from S.S. Peter & Paul Academy in Ionia. She was employed at the Belding Community Hospital and worked at the rectories of St. Mary Church, Carson City and St. Joseph Church, Belding. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding. She was married Oct. 18, 1932 to Ambrose C. Feuerstein at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1960. She is survived by her children; Margery and Eugene McQueen, and Rosalyn and Tom Kohn, Phil and Colleen Feuerstein and Bob and Ann Feuerstein, all of Belding; Joyce Coon of Grand Rapids, Ralph Feuerstein of Ninevah, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; her sisters- and brothers-in-law; Rose Kieffer, Leona and Bill Gasper, Pete and Maxine Feuerstein, Alvin J. and Donna Feuerstein, Leo and Joan Feuerstein, Virginia Feuerstein, Geraldine Feuerstein, Louise Feuerstein, and Judy and David Laux. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Daniel, George and James; two sisters Mary and Beatrice; and two grandsons Patrick and Craig Coon. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, Belding, with Father George Darling officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Miriam. Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm., at the Johnson Funeral Home, Belding, with a vigil service at 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Education Foundation, the Second Century Fund or the Alvah N.
