Mary Ann was born on July 14, 1942, in Belding. The daughter of Leonard and Geraldine Laux-Feuerstein, she graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1960 and has lived in Texas for several years. She retired as a vice president with Energy Zone Holdings in 2004. Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, birds and being outdoors, especially at the beach. She loved being with her grandchildren, especially when they were playing Yahtzee and doing puzzles. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mary Ann is loved and survived by her children, Matt and Paula Stahlin of Belding, Jim and Susan Stahlin of Conroe, Texas, Mark and Alex Stahlin of Hockley, Texas; her grandchildren, Patrick, Kelsey, Christopher, Evan, Bethany, Samantha, and one more on the way; her former husband, Mike Stahlin of Conroe, Texas; her brothers and sisters, Jean and John Chickering of St. Johns, Patty and Ellen Twietmeyer of Solon, Ohio, John Feuerstein, Ron Feuerstein, both of Belding; two sisters-in law, Lois Feuerstein, Cheryl and Don Cooper, both of Belding; and many nieces and nephews. The family would especially like to thank her friends Angie Renninger and Patricia Metzler for their kindness and support during her illness. Mary Ann was preceded by her parents and one brother, Jim. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Miriam, with Father Darryl Kempf Presiding. Right of Committal will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:30 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorials may be given to Can Care of Texas (a cancer support group) or the Belding Food Pantry; and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
