The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 10, 1930

Mrs. Alta E. Fiferlik, 69, of Detroit, who died at her home Monday was a 
Portland resident during her girlhood and was married in Portland 40 years ago 
and left soon after her marriage to live in Detroit.  Prior to her marriage 
she taught school 15 years.  Besides her husband, Anthony Fiferlik, she leaves 
two sons, Harold and Lawrence, and a daughter, Gladys.  The funeral services 
were held Monday.
