Derek Lorenzo Figel, 27, of Muir, passed away July 1, 2013 in Muir. He was born 
March 12, 1986 in Carson City the son of Kurt Figel and Cheryl (Blatt) Allen.

Derek had the truest golf swing ever. He had some moves on the dance floor and 
loved to hunt and fish.

Derek is survived by his father, Kurt (Darlene) Figel of Lake Odessa; mother, 
Cheryl (Phil) Allen of Muir; daughter, Aubrey Lynn Figel of Muir; brothers, 
Michael Tabb of Lake Odessa, Seven Allen of Muir, and Nolan Allen of Muir; 
sister, Alexandria Fry of Montana; step-brothers, Markus Gonzales, Alex Winkler 
and David Gonzales; step-sister, Crystal Gonzales; grandparents, George (Sue) 
Figel of Ionia, Nancy (Lee) Dexter of Charlotte, Nina Blatt of Muir, and Linda 
Allen of Lake Odessa; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Duane Blatt and Jim Allen; and 
cousin, Faith Allen.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8 at Resurrection Life 
Church in Ionia with Nathaniel Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to his daughter or Strait Street
