Portland Review - Monday, Jan. 11, 1993

Stanley A. Figurski, 79, of Lake Odessa died Jan. 6, 1993, in Lansing.

He was born in Detroit on April 28, 1913, he son of Stanley H. and Valentine 
(Samarzewski) Figurski. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Lake 
Odessa and of the Knights of Columbus Portland Council. He was a retired TRW 
employee and owned and operated Stan's Service Shop at his home. 

He is survived by his wife, Ernestine; two daughters, Shirley (Donald) 
Schrauben and Cynthia (Lanny) Reed, both of Portland; eight grandchildren, 
Chris Schrauben, Andy (Debbie) Schrauben, Phil (Jan) Schrauben, Kathy (Mark) 
Stambaugh, Mary Schrauben, David Reed, Michelle Reed, and Michael Reed; one 
great grandchild, Matthew Stambaugh; three brothers,  Edward Figurski of St. 
Clair Shores, Clarence Figurski of Warren, and Donald Figurski of Utica; six 
sisters, Alice Figurski of Algonac, Margaret Lark of Romeo, Marion Crossman of 
Algonac, Jane Skurya of Detroit, Estelle Bilecki of Roseville, and Dorothy 
Prentice of Longmont, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.

The Rosary was recited Jan. 7 and Jan. 8 at Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in 
Portland. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 9 at St. Patrick's 
Catholic Church in Portland, with the Rev. Julian Reginato and the Rev. James 
Bozung officiating.

Interment in Portland Cemetery, Portland.
