Hastings Reminder - June 11, 2022
          DAVID C. FILLION
   David C. Fillion, age 61, of Lake Odessa, MI, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022
surrounded by his 
family.
   David was born July 22, 1960 in Lansing to William and Jewell Fillion.  David
dedicated 32 years to General 
Motors, where he was very active in the UAW both locally and nationally.  After his
retirement from GM he 
went to Barber College and opened his own shop in Freeport where he enjoyed working
with his clients, until 
his health forced him to retire again.
   When not working David loved to fish and was an active voice in the care of
wildlife conservation.
   He will be dearly missed by his children Crystal (Michael) Hedger, Brandon
Fillion, sister Janet (Tommy) 
Thompson, grandchildren; Madison, Seth, Mariah, Elsie, great grandchildren Brynlee
and Sawyer.
   David was preceded in death by; his parents and brother William and grandson
William.
   Visitation will be held at Koops Funeral Chapel, 935 4th Ave., Lake Odessa on
Monday, June 13, 2022 from 
5 until 8 p.m. A Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church 531 Jordan
Lake St., Lake Odessa, MI on 
Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11 a.m with burial taking place at Lakeside Cemetery
immediately following.
   Memorials can be made to the charity of donor's choice.
   Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. koopsfc. com for
the Fillion family.
