Lake Odessa Wave - January 12, 1906
                             OBITUARY
   Merritt T. Fink was bron Aug. 4, 1882, in Eaton county, and did Monday morning at
the home of his father 
William Fink, Jan. 8, 1906.
   The deceased was stricken down a little less than a year ago with consumption
from which disease he at 
times rallied so as to be able to be out of doors, but for the past six weeks he was
confined to his room until 
the final summons.  He was well known in this vicinity having lived here a number of
years and was popular 
among his associates.
   Besides his father, (his mother having preceded him to the grave six years ago)
one brother Frank, now in 
California and one sister Mildred living at home, survive him.
   The funeral was held at the Congregational church Wednesday afternoon, a large
number being in 
attendance, Rev. T. Jones conducting the services.  The family have the sympathy of
the entire community.
