Emma Joan Finkbiner, 78, of Dimondale, formerly of Portland, died July 20, 
2009 at the Dimondale Nursing Care Center following a long illness.  Mrs. 
Finkbiner was born April 7, 1931 in Lansing, a daughter of William Alexander 
and Emma Lisa (Johnson) Elsenheimer.

She was a retired typist with the State of Michigan Agricultural Department.

Surviving are four children, Gale Ross, Lisa Siebert, Debbie Longacre and Marc 
Finkbiner; her sister, Janice (John) Yeomans; three brothers, John, Jerry and 
Barry Elsenheimer; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several 
nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held July 22 at the Portland Cemetery with Pastor Don 
Woolum officiating.  Arrangements were handled by Field & Leik Funeral Home, 
Dimondale.
