Mrs. and Mrs. Baxter Strong received a telegram Tuesday of the death of their daughter, Mrs. Marion Strong Finney, who died in the sanitarium in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she went after leaving here. In some way the message got mixed up in the Detroit office and came here as being from an undertaker in Buffalo. After several hours of telephoning and wiring, both east and west, the matter was finally straightened out. It is expected the body will arrive here Friday morning. A week ago last Monday her brother, Arthur Strong, went to Chicago expecting to meet her, having received a letter that she would leave the sanitarium the following day. He remained two days and returned. The message Tuesday was the first they had heard from her since getting the letter. Mrs. Finney was a graduate of our schools and was a member of Doric Chapter O. E. S.. During her sickness she was cheerful and hopeful, always wearing a pleasant smile and giving a word of cheer.
