Fish died at his home Wednesday afternoon about five o’clock having been confined to the house for some time and in very poor health for the past year. The decedent was 68 years old, was the son of Joshua Fish, an old pioneer of Otisco and brother of George B. Fish. When the civil ward broke out Mr. Fish enlisted in Co. B 25th Mich. and went with the boys from here to the battle front and was an excellent soldier. While in the line of duty he was thrown from his horse and inured and from exposure incident to army life his health was impaired. He has been an honorable and respected resident of this vicinity for more than fifty years. He leaves a devoted wife to mourn his loss, a daughter and two sons have preceded him in death. He was a member of Dan S. Root Post and also of the Grattan Masonic Lodge. The funeral will be held at the house Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock, the Grattan fraternity having charge, interment at Smyrna.
