The Ionia Standard, Monday, February 13, 1899

Mrs. Pearley Fish died at the Eagle hotel, Saturday night, of la grippe.  She 
and her husband came here from near Baltimore two weeks ago.  They were 
without means, and Fish had been doing such odd jobs of work as he could 
obtain.  The poor commission took charge of the case.
