Edith was born June 12, 1914 in Sheridan, the daughter of William and Rachel Hilda Jacobson North. She married Sydney Fish in 1932 in Ionia. Edith was a longtime member of the Sidney Women’s Club, the Sheridan VFW and Heritage Village. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, doll collection and sewing. She played the piano by ear and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Fish, in 1968. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Jean and Jim Butler of Stanton, Shirley Ann and Gordon Ewing of Fort Wayne, Ind.; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sue Fish of Stanton; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service is 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Sidney, with Pastor Wayne Hoedt officiating. The family will greet friends at the church starting at 3:30 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Village, White Pine Library or Faith Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the church. Barden Funeral Home, Stanton, is in charge of arrangements.
