Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Dec 1970

A past president of the Village of Eagle, Ellsworth Fish, better known as Bard
Fish, 69, died Friday in Lansing general hospital.  A lifelong resident of
Eagle, where he was born July 31, 1901, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
James Fish.

He was active in Masonic lodge affairs and was past master of Portland lodge and
Royal Arch Mason chapter.  He was also a member of Order of Eastern Star.  For
more than 20 years he served as Eagle township clerk, and retired as manager of
Maynard-Allen State bank in Westphalia where he was employed 18 years.  He
recently was active as a bookkeeper for an automobile agency in Portland.

Sole survivor is his wife, Margaret.

Funeral services will be December 15 at 1 p.m. from Neller funeral home in
Portland, the Rev. Douglas Smith of United Methodist church officiating.  Burial
will be in Niles cemetery.
