Ionia Daily Sentinel – Tuesday, 7 September 1976
Guy I. Fisher, 79 of 358 Bethel Street, Portland, died Monday at a Lansing 
hospital following a brief illness.  He was born August 5, 1897 in Danby 
Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher.  Mr. Fisher is survived by his 
wife, Irma one son, Frederick G. of Juneau, Alaska; one step-son, Ted White of 
Portland, one sister, Mrs. John (Martini) Bell of Portland and seven grand-
children.



He was a member of the Portland township board and a member of Portland lodge 
31, F and AM. 



Services are Wednesday at 2 pm from the Neller funeral home in Portland with 
Rev. Ronald Lahr of Portland congregational church officiating.  Burial is in 
Portland cemetery.  Bearers are Guy Jones, Jack Spotts, C. J. Hill, Lewis 
Jones, Leon Linaberry, and Harol Lakin.
