Harriet J. Fisher, 79, of 62 Belhaven, Belding, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 
at Carson City Hospital as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile 
accident in Ionia County.  She was born June 12, 1925 in Fremont, the daughter 
of Henry and Hattie Van Wyk VanTatenhove.  She married Ervin E. Fisher on 
November 29, 1952 in Belding.  Mrs. Fisher had been a longtime resident of 
Belding.

She is survived by two sisters, Marie Dickson of Belding, Dorothy Perkins of 
California; three brothers, Harold VanTatenhove of Dutton, Robert VanTatenhove 
of Walker, Leslie VanTatenhove of Lowell; two stepdaughters; and several step-
grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin E. Fisher on 
September 4, 1982.

In accordance with Mrs. Fisher’s wishes, there will not be a visitation or 
funeral services.  Interment is in Forest Hill Cemetery, Stanton.  The family 
suggests memorial considerations to the charity of one’s choice.  The family is 
being served by the Simpson Family Funeral Home, Stanton.
