Fisher, aged 62 years took place at his home on the farm which he just recently purchased and which was known as the Bell Rich place, Saturday evening at 8;15 o’clock, following a lingering illness of three or four years duration, the last few months of which he was confined to his bed the greater part of the time. He operated a sawmill outfit during the winter time and a threshing machine during its season in the vicinity for many years and about 12 years ago removed from here to Marion, where he ran a sawmill for a number of years. About three months ago he purchased the Rich farm and about a month ago himself and wife and their son, Joe, his wife and son moved on to the place. His funeral will be held Thursday, December 11, at nine o’clock in the morning from St. Mary’s church, Rev. John Gabriels, of Ionia, officiating and burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery. He is survived by his widow; a son, Joseph, who with his family reside at home, a daughter, Mrs. Bert Hunsicker, of Decatur, Indiana, a brother Louis Fisher, of Grand Rapids and three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Kopp, of Miriam, Mrs. Anthony Martin, of Allegan and Mrs. Thomas Welsh, of Hart.
