Rev. A. J. Westmaas, pastor of the First Presbyterian church was officiating minister, and burial was in Highland Park cemetery. Mr. Fishers brother, Albert Fisher, and his sister, Miss Anna Fisher, both of Batavia, N.Y., attended services from away. Additional Comments: Funeral: Friday, 7 January, 1944 Highland Park cemetery #2-167 (no stone) (son of Wm & Catherine) __________________________________________ Daily Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, Jan. 8, 1944 Fred Fisher, 69, died at 5 a.m. Wednesday at his home, 209 Railroad street. He had been in ill health for the past 19 years. He was born September 29, 1874 in Ionia and was the son of William and Catherine Fisher. HIs entire life had been spent in Ionia. In 1898 he was married to Matie Wedge. He worked with his father in a blacksmith shop and followed that trade until 1924 when he suffered a stroke and was forced to retire. Surviving him is his widow, Matie; one sister, Miss Anna Fisher, of Batavia, N.Y. a brother, Albert Fisher, also of Batavia, N. Y. Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Stone funeral home. Rev. A. J.
