Michael was born on July 25, 1946, in Battle Creek, the son of Raymond L. and Beatrice (Bailey) Fisher. He graduated from Brethren Michigan High School with the Class of 1964. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville. He and his partner (Joseph Paul Rittersdorf) operated a convenience store at the corner of East Main & Cleveland Street in Ionia which was known as MiJo’s. The owned the store from 1981 until they sold it in 1995. He was preceded in death by his partner of 31 years, Joseph Paul Rittersdorf, whom he loved very much; his parents; his partner’s parents, Joseph T. and Ardith (Tran) Rittersdorf; a sister-in-law Joanne Nadwodnik; nephew Kevin Rittersdorf; and a brother-in-law David Hiler. Michael is loved and survived by his son Chad Fisher and his husband, Christopher Rust of Kansas City, MO; and Joseph’s brothers and sisters; Richard and Rosalie Rittersdorf of Largo, Florida, David and Rebeca Rittersdorf of Allegan, Steve and Carol Rittersdorf, Pete and Ruth Rittersdorf all of Greenville, Ted Nadwodnik of Gowen, Jean and Charles Smith, Karen and Phil Anderson all of Greenville, Barbara and Don Brockway of Belding and Peggy Hiler of Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday May 26, 2015, at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville with Father Mark Bauer as Celebrant. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 with a rosary prayed at 7:30 p.m. at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Private interment will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Greenville.
