Funeral Services For Clara Fisher.

The Evangelical church was crowded to overflowing Sunday, by the friends and 
neighbors who came to attend the last sad rites, and take the last look at all 
that remained of the estimable young lady whose name heads this notice. It is 
nearly a year since Clara was stricken with that dread disease, consumption, 
and during her long protracted sickness, all who had the opportunity to be 
brought into association with her have marked the beauty of her life, and had 
learned to love her well. She bore her suffering without a murmur, always 
cheerful, never complaining, she won the admiration of all who knew her. After 
lingering many months patiently awaiting the coming of the dread messenger, her 
beautiful life passed out, in the presence of her family and friends, in her 
27th year. The high esteem in which she was held was amply attended by the 
large attendance at the funeral, by the universal

kindness, as well as the deep sorrow that showed forth by the large concourse 
of sympathetic friends at the funeral exercises. After an appropriate address 
by the pastor, Rev. C. C. Staffeld, the casket, finished in white, covered with 
a profusion of flowers, and borne by six young lady friends of the deceased, 
dressed all in white, emblematic of the purity of the character of her whose 
remains they bore to their last resting place in the cemetery. The following 
named young ladies were the active bearers: Millie Winchell, Katie Motzer, 
Nettie McDonald, Laura Thompkins, Carrie Elwiss and Mattie Grimmer.
