Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Feb. 12, 1968

CLARKSVILLE- John R. Fisher, 73, retired farmer of rural Clarksville, died at 
Pennock hospital Sunday morning following a lengthy illness. He had been 
hospitalized 11 weeks.

He was born February 12, 1894 in Berlin township, the son of August and 
Samantha Bennett Fisher. November 24, 1914 he was married to former Beulah 
Heether. They spent their entire married life in Berlin and Campbell townships.

Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife, Beulah; three sons, Kenneth and Verlin of 
Saranac and Perry of Clarksville: 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He was a member of Clarksville F & AM lodge.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at Pickens Chapel in Clarksville at 1:30 pm 
with Rev. Ernest Crocker officiating. Burial will be in Saranac cemetery.
