Fisk, one of Otisco’s early pioneers. He was born in Ashfield, Mass., March 17, 1836. At the age of three years he moved with his parents to this town, where he has ever since made his home. In 1860 he was married to Miss Cordelia T. Cook, to whom four children have been born, three daughters and one son. Two daughters survive him, Mrs. Frank White of Eaton Rapids, and Mrs. Fred Wilson of Six Lakes, who were with him in his last illness, and with his devoted wife soothed and cheered him with loving kindness to the last. His life was one of activity and usefulness. He was loved and respected by his neighbors and a large circle of friends. None ever asked a favor of him in vain if in his power to grant it. The friends in their bereavement have the comforting assurance that a loved and loving husband, father, son and brother uncomplainingly bore his sufferings for the past four years cheerfully and calmly waited his final change. Funeral at 11 o’clock, Thursday last, at the house, Rev. O.J. Golden, of Belding, officiating. Appropriate music was rendered by the Smyrna choir.
