She was born near Wood’s Corners September 11, 1872 and when a young child came with her parents to live in the Ashley neighborhood and had lived in this vicinity her entire life. She was married March 20, 1895 to Walter Fisk, who preceded her in death 22 years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Gephart of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Rising of Keega Harbor, two sons, Joseph of Topinabee and Don at the old homestead northwest of the city, a sister, Mrs. Fred Deitz of this city, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist church and a woman of charming personality, who was a friend to everyone who knew her. She had lived with her sister, Mrs. Deitz at 622 Pearl street for three and a half years. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 o’clock from the Fales-Huffman Funeral home with Rev. Gustave Ferre officiating and she was laid to rest in the Otisco cemetery.
