Ionia Standard, 1 Feb 1877

Otisco - Joseph Fiske, one of the oldest settlers of this township, died 
suddenly at Greenville on Friday, Jan’y 26th.  He had gone there with a load of 
produce and was seized with an apoplectic fit, in which he died.  Mr. Fiske was 
72 years of age and had lived here over 30 years.  He was one of our most 
highly respected citizens and leaves a large family.
