The Ionia Daily Standard, Friday, January 25, 1889

On the same day, Mrs. J. M. Fitch died, aged 77 years.  Mrs. F. was the mother 
of Mrs. Stephen T. Minard, at whose home she was cared for during her 
declining days.  The remains were interred on Thursday, Rev. Alfred Cornell 
attending.  Besides Mrs. Minard, two other daughters survive her: Mrs. Thomas 
Tew, of Aberdeen, Washington Territory, and Mrs. Dr. A. D. Fitch, of 
Clarksville, New York.
