Mrs. Myrtle S. Fitzjohn, 85, died this morning at Christensen’s Nursing Home,
Greenville.  Mrs. Fitzjohn was born Sept. 25, 1891 at Clare and had been a
lifelong Belding area resident.  She and her husband, Arthur J., who died Oct.
7, 1972, owned and operated a funeral home in Belding for 44 years.  She was a
member of Belding United Methodist Church, Washington Club, Ladies Literary
Club, Goodfellowship Club and Grailers.

Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Margaret Isles, Lake Orion; two step-sons,
Leonard Fitzjohn, Belding, Merrill Fitzjohn, Harrison, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs.
Shirley Moser, Sand Lake, Mrs. Bertha Burleh, Florida; seven grandchildren and
11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Charles M. Courser Funeral Home,
Belding, the Rev. Richard Strait officiating.  Interment will be in River Ridge
Cemetery, Belding.  Visitation will be tonight and Thursday from 7 to 8:30 at
the funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
