Ionia Daily Sentinel, 7 Mar 1958

Russell E. Flanders, 47, died Thursday afternoon at his home on route 2, 
Williamston.  He had been in ill health for the past two years.  He was born 
January 27, 1911 in Ionia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Flanders.  He was a 
resident of Ionia until his marriage July 15, 1933, when he moved to Lansing.  
Mr. and Mrs. Flanders moved to a home near Williamston six years ago.

Surviving besides his wife Laura are two sons, James and Richard, both at home; 
his step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Castle of Ionia; a brother Willis 
Flanders of Ionia, and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Hummel, also of Ionia.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Myers funeral home.  
Interment is to be in Balcom cemetery.
