BELDING- Eldred (El) Flanigan, 38, of 9674 Carlsen Road, Fenwick, died Saturday 
of accidental injuries sustained in a traffic accident on M-57 west of 
Greenville. 

Born in Greenville March 18, 1950, he was the son of Ruth and John Flanigan.

He had been employed for 15 years at Greenville Products and had been a member 
of the Michigan National Guard, Greenville, for 20 years. He was also a member 
of the Greenville American Legion Post.

Surviving are two daughters, Christa and Minday Flanigan, both of Palo, his 
mother, Mrs. Gerald (Ruth) Watson of Greenville; two brothers, James Flanigan 
of Orleans and John Flanigan of Belding; a sister, Mrs. Michael (Ellen) Bunting 
of Belding; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Peetsch of Romeo; and a special 
friend, Valerie Hyms.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home, 
Belding, the Rev. Gene Sickler officiating.

Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 
2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A memorial has been established for the Belding Library, in care of the funeral 
home.
