Ionia Standard – Friday, 27 April 1883
John Fleming, formerly of Ionia died at his residence in Stanton on Wednesday 
night last, aged 50.  He came to Ionia County over 40 years since his family 
settled in Easton.  From 1861 to 1871 Mr. Fleming was in business in this 
city.  Since the latter date he has resided at Stanton.  He leaves a wife and 
two children, a married daughter and a son 17 years of age.  He was buried at 
Stanton this morning.
