Fletcher, 90, died Friday afternoon at his residence at Houghton Lake. He was born in North Plains Township on Jan. 17, 1907 the son of Clarence and Mable (Dick) Fletcher. He was married to Elsie Townsend in 1931 at Bowling Green, Ohio and then moved to Pontiac where he was employed as a die maker at Fisher Body until he retired in 1968. He moved to Houghton Lake in 1961 where Mrs. Fletcher died in February 1996. He was active in the Boy Scout movement for eight years and attended the Houghton Lake Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Raymond (Deborah) Fletcher of Pontiac; one daughter, Karen Clark of Sylvan Lake; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be all day Tuesday with funeral services Wednesday at 7 p.m. at North Plains Church with Rev. Robert Jourdan officiating. Burial will be in the North Plains Cemetery. Arrangements by Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir.
