The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 17, 1975

Mrs. Margaret Fletcher, 68, of Birmingham died Friday afternoon at her home.  
She was the mother of Mrs. Charles Lynch of Ionia.  She was born October 31, 
1907, at Seattle, Wash., the daughter of Daniel and Margaret Cartano.  Her 
great grandparents, John and Emily Hoyt Percival, were among the first 
settlers of the Muir area.  She married James V. Fletcher in Seattle, Wash., 
February 8, 1935.

Surviving are her husband, James; son, Dr. Ross Fletcher of Washington, D.C.; 
two daughters, Mrs. Charles Lynch of Ionia and Mrs. Paul Martzowka of 
Bloomfield Hills; seven grandchildren; and a brother, John Cartano of Seattle.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Birmingham Unitarian 
church and interment will be at the Episcopal Cathedral of Christ the King at 
Kalamazoo.  A memorial has been established in Ionia for the St. Johns 
Episcopal church.
