July 31, 2013 BELDING- Joseph Isaiah Fletcher, 24, of Belding, died Saturday July 27, 2013, at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Joseph was born on Feb. 8, 1989, in Lansing, the son of Scott and Jill Stauffer Fletcher. He graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 2007, later graduated from Montcalm Community College and attended Michigan State University and Northern Michigan University. As a freshman in high school he played football. Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, horticulture, watching the History Channel and loved exploring the outdoors. In earlier years he attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Belding. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Joseph is loved and survived by his parents, Jill Fletcher of Belding, and her friend Jim Lucas of Grand Rapids, Scott and Teresa Fletcher of Cedar Springs; his sister and brothers, Rachel Fletcher and fiancé Cory Sweet of Belding (Brighton). Zach Fletcher, Jacob Fletcher of Belding and fiancé Rebecca Mallette of Troy; step siblings, Anna and Ryan Koryto; grandparents, Lee and Gladys Stauffer of DeWitt, Carolyn Sailor of Haslett, Ron and Wilma Kitchen of Lansing, Richard and Debbie Fletcher of Greenville; his best friends, Frankie Foote, Andrew Scott, Andrew Smith and a host of other friends. He was preceded by his grandmother, Mary Kitchen. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding with Father Darrel Kempf presiding. Committal prayers will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorials may be given to the wishes of the family.
