He was united in marriage to Emma Walker November 9, 1876. To this union was born a son, B. L. Fletcher of Battle Creek and daughter, Mrs. F. A. Walton of Grand Rapids. Also two grandchildren and two brothers, Kimball of Lowell, whose wife died just a few weeks ago, and Hiram of Ada, besides other relatives and a host of friends. Mr. Fletcher was well and favorably known in this community, of a quiet and retiring nature, a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a lover of nature of the good and true. Suddenly the great spirit took his sprit into the great beyond. Funeral services conducted Monday, January 5, by Rev. A. H. Lash, from the residence of Joel Gilbert in whose employ he had been for the past 17 years. Miss Anna Maynard furnished the music and interment was in South Boston cemetery. Those present besides the daughter and husband and son and wife, were Mrs. Levi Fletcher, Mrs. Fred Harker, Mr. and Mrs. Will Fletcher, of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Art Fletcher, son Wm. of Birmingham, Mrs. Seymour Coles of Detroit, his two brothers and Mrs. Fred Jacobi of Ionia.
