The Lowell Ledger, March 31, 1910


Jerome B. Fletcher was born in Norfolk, St. Lawrence county, New York in 
1840.  He was the seventh child of John and Eunice Fletcher.  When he was only 
4 years of age the family came to Michigan.  In 1863 he was married to Serena 
Palmiter who died one year later.

In 1865 he was married to Carolina M. Clark.  One child, Mrs. Jay Bovee, was 
born to them, who with her mother, one brother, Levi Fletcher, of Lowell and a 
sister, Mrs. Mary E. Tucker of Indianapolis, Ind., survive him. 

He died Wednesday, March 23.  On March 22, one day before his death, he passed 
his seventieth birthday. 

Funeral was held Friday, March 25, at 2 p.m. from the house, Rev. Carrick of 
Clarksville officiating.  Interment in South Boston cemetery.
