Manuel Flores Jr., age 76, of Ionia, passed away on Wed., Dec. 8, 2004.  He was 
born June 30, 1928 in Oakwood, Texas, the son of Manuel M. and Ysaura Flores.

Mr. Flores was a member of North Plains Community Church, and he worked at 
Fisher Body as a master craftsman, retiring in 1978.  Manuel enjoyed yardwork, 
the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, fixing cars and baseball.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1978; his first wife, Graces Flores 
in 1978; his third wife, Martha Flores in 2004; and sister, Cecelia Garcia.

Surviving are his mother, Ysaura Flores of Slaton, Texas; children Don (Debra) 
Gable of Loraine, Ohio, Mary (Tom) Denis of Ionia and JoAnn (Johnny M.) Norris 
of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Denis, MaryJo Denis, Don L. Gable, 
Victor Denis and Aaron Norris; siblings, Dionicia Berrera, Maria Gonzales and 
Frances Flores-Cabrera; and many step-children and step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Robert Jourdan, Pastor of North 
Plains Community Church, Muir at 1 p.m., today, Fri., Dec. 10.  The family will 
receive friends at the church from noon until the time of service.  
Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Ionia.
