Ionia Daily Sentinel, 8 Jun 1964

Dorothy Mae Foght, 56, lifelong resident of Odessa township, died at 11 o’clock 
Sunday night at Ionia County Memorial hospital following a long illness.  She 
had been hospitalized four days and a patient at the Donoghue rest home the 
past six months.  Prior to that she was confined at the home of Mrs. Sarah 
Downing in Lake Odessa several years.

Miss Foght was born June 14, 1907, the daughter of Frank and Etta Garfield 
Foght, on the farm where her father was born and raised and previously owned by 
his father.

Funeral will be at Pickens funeral chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with burial at 
Lakeside cemetery.  The Rev. Harold Blakely, a nephew from Mayport, will 
officiate.
