Mrs. Folger was formerly Miss Eva Crane, a sister of Oscar Crane, and was born in Lyons in June, 1859, and for many years made her home here. She was married to James E. Root in 1878, and to them three children were born, two of whom are living; Ralph Root of Detroit and Mrs. Agnes DeLaVergne of Harbor Springs. After Mr. Root’s death, she was married to Mr. Folger in 1908; he passed away in 1916. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Geo. A. Brown, local pastor. Interment in the Lyons cemetery. Following were those from out of town to attend the funeral: Miss Fannie Binckley, Holt; Mrs. Carrie Crane, Springfield, Ill.; Morrice Crane and Mrs. Mary Jersey, Lansing; B.W. DeLaVergna, Harbor Springs; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Root, Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Ward Gold and James Cramer, Belding.
