February 3, 1977 Rites Held Sun. For Eva Follett Mrs. Eva Follett, 87, passed away Tuesday night at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital after being a patient at the Ionia Manor for several months. She was born in Sebewa October 25, 1889, the daughter of William and Ida (Smith) Heintzelman and attended the Johnson Rural School. Mrs. Follett was a lifelong resident of the local area and was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, the Past Noble Grand Club and had been a member of the Refuge Rebekah Lodge. Her first husband was Fred Erdman of Sebewa and she later married George Slater. In May of 1933 she married Byron Goodsell of Lake Odessa and he passed away June 11, 1943. Henry Follett, whom she married in April 1945 passed away September 12, 1972. Surviving are a brother Harry Heintzelman, a resident at the Ionia Manor a sister-n-law Mrs.Hannah Heintzelman of Lake Odessa; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel. Rev. William Hertel officiated with burial in Lake side Cemetery.
