Death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Foltz was born August 28, 1880, in Bremen, Indiana. He was married there to Edna M. Faulkner, and after their marriage about thirty years ago, they came to Ionia. Mr. Foltz was employed in various manufacturing plants in Ionia until 1945 when he became Fairgrounds caretaker. Mrs. Foltz died in 193? [unreadable number in the copy I have]. Survivors are: a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Kenney of Fenwick; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother Chester R. Foltz, of Dayton, Ohio, and two sisters, Mrs. Julius Partel, Warsaw, Ind., and Mrs. Ellen Kline, Bremen, Ind. Rev. Court O. Adams officiated at the funeral service held Monday afternoon, from Stone-Kauffman Funeral Home and burial was in Balcom Cemetery. Bearers were Max and Melbourne Stebbins, Ora Woodard, Cliff Allen, Bert Bennett and Robert Kenney.
