                              Publisher's Wife Dies
Mrs. Catherine E. Foltz, 52, wife of Richard Foltz, publisher of the Lake 
Odessa Wave at Lake Odessa, died at St. Lawrence hospital Sunday evening at 
7:15 o'clock after a short illness.

Mrs. Foltz was taken ill June 15 and removed to the hospital from her Lake 
Odessa home. Her condition was thought to be improving, but she took a turn for 
the worse Sunday and died at 7:15 p.m.

Besides her husband, who was employed for a year at the Banner-News as Linotype 
operator before entering the publishing field, Mrs. Foltz is survived by a son, 
Richard, Jr., of Mendon, and a daughter, Ann Marie of Lake Odessa. A sister, 
Miss  Mary Gore, Lansing also survives.

Mrs. Foltz is former Catherine E. Gore, was born in Belding, on April 23, 1908. 
She attended the Belding schools until she passed the fourth grade when the 
family moved to Lansing where she entered St. Mary school. She graduated from 
St. Mary high school in June of 1926 and then entered nurse's training at St. 
Lawrence hospital for three years. Later she hospital for three years. Later 
she to the late Dr. Harry Weinburg of for three years.

She and Mr. Foltz were married in the Roman Catholic church in Mendon on July 
16, 1931. Mr. Foltz, a former Lansing resident, had gone to Mendon where he had 
purchased a newspaper. After their marriage Mrs. Foltz continued to work here 
until January of 1932 when she and Mr. Foltz moved to Mendon where they resided 
until 1959 when them moved to Lake Odessa.

The body was removed to the Palmer-Bush funeral home.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at 10:30.
